What is micoValdorba?

LIFE, the Financial Instrument for the Environment, is one of the spearheads of the European Union's environmental policy. It co-finances projects aimed to implement the Community policy and legislation on the environment in the European Union and candidate countries. This approach enables demonstration and development of new methods for the protection and the enhancement of the environment.

Micovaldorba is the Acronym of a LIFE-Environment project called "Development and implementation of an integrated system for the sustainable management of wild fungus-producing forest ecosystems in Valdorva, Navarra".

The project duration is 36 months. Project start date was 3/9/2001 and will finish at 3/9/2004.
